United Church of Christ

We are a Five for Five Church

As a church, we contribute any donations we receive during five special occasions throughout the year to the United Church of Christ worldwide ministry. We support its holistic development programs, including health care, education, agriculture, food sustainability, micro-financing, and women’s empowerment. We like that its programs meet the immediate needs of people around the world, while also addressing the underlying causes that created those needs in the first place.

Our members and worship service attendees may choose to give during these special collections–or not. We respect and honor individual freedoms. You decide for yourself how you share your time, talent, and treasure. We welcome all, just the same.

Our Church’s Wider Mission (January)

“Supports congregations and other settings of the church in developing relationships with a wider church that is global, multiracial, and multicultural, open and affirming, and accessible to all.”

One Great Hour of Sharing (Spring)

"...Holistic development programs, including health care, education, agriculture, food sustainability, micro-financing, and women’s empowerment.”

The Christmas Fund (mid-December)

“Caring for active and retired clergy and lay employees of the United Church of Christ for over 100 years, providing emergency grants, supplementation of small annuities and health premiums, and Christmas “Thank You” gift checks each December to our lower-income retirees.”

Neighbors in Need (October)

“Focus is on supporting organizations and projects that are serving homeless and immigrant neighbors or communities. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM).”

Strengthen the Church (June)

“Leadership development, new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing UCC congregations across the United States.”
