Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

And the Lord said, “Look, they are one people, and they have all one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”

Imagination is a gift that enables us to see progress in many facets of our lives. It is imagination that made massive computers into small handheld devices in our palms today. Someone imagined a flying machine so we can travel far in less time by airplanes. On the other hand, there was someone thinking about safety while flying in high altitudes; as a result, we have parachutes. It is the imagination of dedicated men and women that has paved the way for Christianity to be what it is today.

Let us focus on the gift of vision and start imagining.

Can we imagine the impossible together?

How would it be to live in a world where there is no violence?

Imagine a community of people who practice compassion. Consciously engaging imagination in faith can lead us not only to see the impossible, but to see the impossible become possible, while also enjoying doubling our gifts.

Great people have imagined and achieved what they envisioned. It all began within before anything would become significant. Just like you would think, it is crazy to think this way. The great people, who had significant achievements, would have had the same feeling at the initial stages. Missionaries felt unworthy but they made it; leaders felt there was someone better than them but they kept on thinking what they wanted to be at the end. I am imagining that faith and imagination can go hand in hand; we can experience heaven on earth. A community that cares, loves, and pours out compassion may not be noticed because of its very nature to be so.

What do you imagine?

Don’t let anything stop you from envisioning the most unlikely. As it says in Genesis 11:6, “Nothing that they propose to do now will be impossible for them.” With LOVE, our one shared human language, let us envision a world that is filled with peace. May the Holy Spirit enable you to IMAGINE reaching previously unimaginable heights for the sake of the Gospel.

In faith,

Reverend Prabhu Sigamani
